The ski areas Lech Zürs and Warth-Schröcken are now connected.

The idea of a connection was born over 40 years ago and it is now our pleasure to announce: the ski areas Lech Zürs and Warth-Schröcken are connected by the Auenfeldjet! Beginning in the 2013/2014 winter season, all winter sports enthusiasts can enjoy the winter on the Tannberg as well - in what is now the largest ski area in Vorarlberg.

340 kilometres of ski slopes.

The Auenfeldjet connects the ski areas Lech Zürs and Warth-Schröcken. This increases the offer to a total of 47 lifts and cableways as well as 190 kilometres of ski descents. As the entire Arlberg can now be travelled by ski, the ski area also expands from St. Christoph and Stuben to St. Anton. With a total of 88 lifts and cableways and, believe it or not, 305 kilometres of ski slopes, the ski area
"Ski Arlberg" is now the largest in Vorarlberg.

Preservation of flora and fauna.

For the villages of Lech Zürs and Warth-Schröcken, the Auenfeld is a high plateau rich in history that contains many of the secrets and history of the settlement of the Tannberg. The fairytale-like flora and fauna are unique here and function as a valuable good for the tourism region. This is why care was taken when building the connection to interfere with nature as little as possible. This allows trees and high Alpine vegetation to be preserved, water and spring protection areas are respected and even the animal kingdom remains undisturbed in its habitat, as no new slopes were constructed. The Auenfeldjet can thus justifiably be seen as a shining example of a gentle connection.
